Step into a day of Halloween-themed creativity in Igor's Spooky Innovation Lab, a brand-new workshop for October Half Term 2026!

The spooky season is fast approaching, and Igor, the STEMworks lab's curious inventor, is racing to develop a collection of spooky robotic prototypes. He needs a team of young engineers to help bring his ideas to life.

Working in teams, children will design, build and code a range of imaginative robotic creations, from playful motion-reactive spiders to clever sweet-delivery machines that deliver treats right on cue. Using LEGO® Spike Prime, they'll explore coding through practical, hands-on challenges, testing and improving Igor's latest inventions as they tackle each new mission.

Created especially for October Half Term 2026, this exciting workshop offers fresh challenges and inventive builds for everyone to enjoy. Whether children have attended one of STEMworks' LEGO Robotics workshops before or are completely new to coding, the activities are designed to be accessible, engaging and rewarding.

Throughout the day, participants will develop teamwork, problem-solving, resilience and digital skills while experiencing the excitement of engineering, programming and creative design in a fun Halloween setting.

By the end of the workshop, Igor's laboratory will be filled with a range of spooky robotic prototypes, and children will head home proud of the challenges they've completed, the skills they've developed and the ideas they've helped bring to life.

You will need to bring:

- Snack (NO NUTS, May contain nuts). Lunch will be provided.

- Water Bottle.
